CRYSTAL BOWERSOX "The Encounter"

Crystal Bowersox, had a gig ,at Franklin County Fair, on August 14/2011. I had the privilege  ,and wonder, of being in attendance of this venue..  The venue was in the Village of Malone ,New York State. Population, unknown to me.Primarily, a farming community.Henceforth, hotels were very few. The Holiday Inn seemed to be the only hotel in the village.TRUE!!! Anyway , on the way into hotel I passed a fellow that looked REALLY familiar. As we passed, it occurred in my head that it was Frankie May. I said hello as he said "hey how are you" ? I realized ,in the moment, that Frankie recognized me .AS I met him last summer at the Village Idiot (Maumee ,Ohio) ,at the VI pre-show party , the night before seeing Crystal in AI show . Frankie was on his way getting luggage, as I was checking into hotel. Aha! I then knew that the band and Crystal were staying in this *1* hotel  WOOT! Flash forward to (Friday )evening. I went outside to have a cig(gasp and awe -yes I smoke). Good thing !! I spoke with a woman ( I did not get her name -sorry), who told me she had met "Crystal Bowersox" in the parking lot 'and recognized her from American Idol'. She was not there to see Crystal * A simple fluke.* This woman, proceeded to tell me of how she had just lost her mother in May. She also had shared this story with Crystal. Crystal (being the warm person she is , asked the woman's''mothers' name ! It was *ARLENE*!!!! So , Crystal said to meet her in the hotel lobby at 'such and such' time. Within the next 10 minutes. Of course , I am beside myself with excitement and it readily showed. I asked if this was a private thing or could I join in attendance.This woman had never heard the song ARLENE and Crystal was going to perform it for/to her in the Hotel lobby. Oh, and yes I was invited. Within a few moments, Crystal appeared with guitar. A small crowd gathered. Crystal performed and sang the song ARLENE directly to this (dang I wish I remembered her name) woman. When done singing,she gave her one of the famous Crystal hugs. I , in my infinite wisdom (NOT), thought I had the vid of a lifetime on my *new* iphone. (INSERT EXCESSIVE CURSING HERE)I had not pushed RECORD due to my CRYSTALLIZATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have a few pics I will eventually share ( windows xp does not recognize apple iphone device) CURSES!!!!After the crowd dispersed, OF COURSE I approached Crystal . I said hey I am (real name -not posting here as this is a public blog)Known as BOO !! She says".. well hello BOO... I thought I was going to faint.At this time, a meet and greet was discussed for the following night after her show. OOPS I forgot tho share that I too was a recipient of a Crystal HUG!!!!!! WOOHOO. Things settle . People disperse. I go out for another cig (yes - another one). Who is out there but Frankie May, Crystal Bowersox and Ryan Suzuka. They were planning there intended night of frivolity -I think. Introduced myself to Ryan - He gave me a hug too. Frankie was in a vehicle .He does not know it, but I have a RAINCHECK on a FRANKIEMAY hug!! So , I had about 10  minutes of talking only with Crystal JUST ME AND HER . RIGHT THERE!!! OMG!!!Crystal is the essence of gracious. Her ability. to make one feel they can be completely themselves with her, is evident.I was completely at ease with her at the same time I was awestruck . Incredible. As I stated earlier, I saw Crystal in Toledo. My only encounter with her there ,was getting a picture autographed amidst the awaiting fans. That day I asked if I could touch her, which I did touch her arm. I thought that was something. My encounter with Ryan , Frankie and needless to say ,the one and only Crystal Bowersox, was exquisite. What an opportunity I was given. I sooooooooooo wish I had the film to share. Alas , my numbness of brain throughout ,diminished my ability to function rationally. The whole encounter was OUTSTANDING!!!  AWESOME!!!Crystal is ALL she presents herself to be and more.
