WELCOME

BOO BABBLES BLOG intends to understand, contemplate, consider, discuss, recognize, and communicate how to SURVIVE BLINDNESS.My plan is to assist others in understanding some of the frustrations, challenges, obstacles & *YES* rewards to SURVIVING BLINDNESS. Links I post , may or may not, be specifically related to vision loss. Some may be informative, interesting, relevant, meaningful or just plain entertaining. Living with deficits in a world so fast-paced & visual is challenging. It can be done. It takes willingness to adapt to the environment. I have found that it takes courage. I will be 'seeing' you then... BOO -o-o- EXPECT SOME MUSIC TOO!!! ♪♫♪♫♫ ASSUME NOTHING* CLARIFY EVERYTHING♥Will also be presenting my VIEWS on social injustice♥

DECEMBER ~ Shadows of Magic ~

Christmas Day will soon be here. A season of Wonder, Magic, Love, Memories, Prayer & Thanks. For most of my life, CHRISTMAS always led me to a beautiful place, and Joy could be found, without much seeking. The last few years have been difficult ones. So many circumstances have altered my view & feelings.
Loss & grief are inescapable in this life. We all know & experience both eventually. Some have suggested I "stop talking about my losses and just move on"! To that, I say "one requires grieving". Which is a long process & dependent upon the circumstances.
In 1985 on New Year's Eve, my dear Grandmother passed away (we were very close).
On December 21st, 2000 - My Dad passed away  (2 years into my vision loss) On December 12th, 2007 - My fabulous Mom passed away ( a year & 1/2 after my stroke)
And, another personal loss was having to put my dear Emma (21 year old cat & pal) to sleep on December 3rd, 2012! There have been a raft of more, yet I shall not inundate you with my sorrows.
The anniversary dates are upon me... As CHRISTMAS looms around the corner!
I'm so not a Scrooge ... Yet, I have difficulty finding the Joy, that I recall from past...
The only thing,  which now brings me that Joy at Christmas - Is knowing I'll enjoy a bit of time with my great nephews & great niece...  I hope... Lee DeWyze has written & performed a new tune (with Christmas in mind) Called "AGAIN"! Listening to this tune does help me feel my heart again...
